Thank you for a great season!

Thank you to everyone who helped make my first season a success.  You will no longer see me at the Farmer's Market, as school has started and I can be found teaching.

If you would like to make a special order of graham crackers or lip balm, send me an email at benedictsgarden(at)gmail.com and we can work something out!

I will see you next summer!

Beginning of July - photos!

As the summer storms continue, I have been so happy with my flowers.  Last week the sunflowers were a big hit!  Unfortunately, my succession planting did NOT actually help me spread out the blooms, as four weeks of succession planting all managed to bloom in one week.  So, sunflowers are out until my baby plants grow up, which may be another month!

This Friday at the market, I will have zinnias, centaurea, celosia, and calendula.  I will continue to sell graham crackers, as I have had great reviews and I think they are a great product.  My lip balm has been selling well too, so that will continue!

Now for a few photos from last week:

July 4th

The Sugarcreek Farmer's Market is still happening this Friday!  I will be there with sunflowers!

I planted my sunflowers in succession, a few plants every 2 weeks in the spring.  Well, that didn't work out for me, as most of the plants are blooming this week!  So, stop by for beautiful sunflowers!  No nasty chemicals, grown locally using sustainable practices.  I will also have bouquets featuring zinnias, calendula, and bachelor buttons.

Graham crackers will be back this week - you know they sound awesome for the holiday weekend.  Pick up a package...or a few packages!

See you Friday!

June 27

I will be at the Sugarcreek Farmer's Market tomorrow, Friday June 27.  I will not have many bouquets, due to a slow start this summer, but I am very excited to announce that I will also have lip balm, granola, and graham crackers for sale!

My lip balm is made from 100% natural ingredients, no petroleum!  Coconut oil, beeswax, and beet root powder form the base for this light pink lip balm.  Vitamin E is added for its nourishing properties, and rose essential oil for a light, delightful fragrance.  Only the best for your lips!

My granola comes in three varieties: Early Bird Classic, Cinn-Almond, and Peanut Butter Chocolate. My husband claims all three are his favorite!  Try one for breakfast, and enjoy the good feeling that comes from eating real, healthy food.

My graham crackers are perfect for s'mores!  Made from easy-to-pronounce ingredients like whole wheat and real butter, these graham crackers are softer than the store version and have so much more flavor!  Surprise the host at the next bonfire with a bag of these beauties!

See you tomorrow, at the new location, closer to Fazoli's.  Look for the tents!

Gorgeous flowers are blooming at Benedict's Garden.  I am still so hopeful I can attend Sugarcreek Farmer's Market next Friday.

Farmer's Market Debut!

Updated: June 4

Benedict's Garden plans to debut for the year at the Sugarcreek Township Farmer's Market on June 13.  The plants are growing stronger and taller every day.  I hope to have sunflowers and cosmos week 1, and add more variety as they bloom!  The rain lately has helped us out a lot, and the plants really come to life in the sun!

Photos to share

Spring is coming!

My beautiful plants are doing well in their containers - I tried to add a few pictures, but the cloud has gotten the best of me again. We have sunflowers, zinnias, centaurea, amaranth, snaps, and bells of Ireland growing already.

Seedlings

Two weeks ago, we planted our first seeds of the year, and are enjoying the seedlings that are growing now!  This winter weather seems determined to stay, so we are anxiously awaiting April and (hopefully) warmer weather.  Until then, stay warm!

Seeds

Our seeds are on their way!  We're happily planning our rows for this spring and creating our planting schedule.  Some plants will be winter-sown, and many will be direct seeded.  Here's to early spring!
